RGB Express 1.6.3.5

Sweetest delivery service ever

When you see delicious looking little pickup trucks, colored blocks and awfully cute little shape sorting houses, you know you're up for a tasty game. RGB Express is puzzly serious about making deliveries.

Each level presents itself as a network of interconnected roads containing color coded warehouses, trucks and boxes. The object is to plot the routes of trucks so that they pickup their cargo and deliver it at their respective warehouse. There are of course some rules to keep track of, such as trucks can never pass through the same spot twice or a spot that has been plotted for another truck (they can share intersections though). Trucks pick-up cargo automatically and deliver it automatically when they reach its destination.

Beyond that, as levels progress, new elements are introduced such as activated bridges and intermediate drop off points. Difficulty wise, these elements bring some variety but don't necessarily make the levels harder. Difficulty is an interesting aspect in RGB Express. Facing a seemingly intricate scenarios with many colors and awkward starting positions, I often found out that going by intuition alone I would find the solution on the first try. I could be just me, but I don't remember this intuition serving me otherwise. That's not always the case though. There are plenty of levels that really need some experimentation before a solution comes up. Trucks sharing corners has some to do with it and also levels in which, strangely enough, there are few possible routes. Still, I enjoy this variability in puzzle games. It makes for a nice change to sweep fairly easy through a couple of levels after struggling with the last one.

Of course, this level unevenness can also be taken as a drawback. However, there is always the possibility of skipping a hard level. You can pick up any level within a group and you can also advance to other groups by paying coins. Coins are made fairly easy, simply by completing levels. But they can also be granted for watching some ads. You can also support the authors for a small purchase to get a lot of coins and remove mandatory ads.

Conclusion

RGB Express is rather refreshing. The bright colors and cute models are very pleasing to the eye. Difficulty my be varying, but overall, the puzzles are fun and remain fresh as new elements are introduced gradually.
